I know it is one of the 10 commandments:'thou shalt not commit adultery' but what do you do as a pastor if one of your flock does that and feels justified in doing so? For me it is a no-brainer: they shouldn't be a member of any congregation. If they cannot grasp what they have done is wrong they shouldn't be in church. However, when I spoke to one pastor about this he said the church is for bad people! in effect it is open to everyone even those who have committed adultery! On some level I get that but what I don't accept is that if someone knowingly does something wrong and then at the end of the week goes to a place of worship how can they kneel down and pray? I suppose I could be construed as quite naive. Some people of faith have been masking their blatant wrong doings since the beginning of time. I really should catch up!!
